How to apply International students

You may apply directly to SAIBT or may consult a SAIBT agent or representative in your home country.

 The SAIBT agent or representative will advise you about your eligibility, assist you with your application to SAIBT and with the procedure for obtaining a student visa to enter Australia. Click here to view list of international representatives.

Note: All documentation provided must be verified by one of the following:

  • The official records department of the institution that originally issued the documents
  • A Justice of the Peace or Public Notary
  • An authorised SAIBT representative
  • An Australian overseas diplomatic mission or Australian Education Centre staff member.

Step 1

Download and complete the Application for Admission form
When you complete the form, ensure that you specify your status as an international student. If you require accommodation to be arranged for you, please download and complete the Application for Accommodation form.


Step 2

Attach documents.
You will need to attach 2 passport-sized photographs as well as certified copies (see note) of:

  • IELTS test results or any other English test results
  • All academic qualifications including school reports and official examination certificates
  • Any relevant employment documents..


Step 3
Send your application and documents to SAIBT:

Deliver the documents to a SAIBT agent in your country.


Step 4

Receive a Letter of Offer from SAIBT.
If your application is successful, you will be sent a Letter of Offer explaining the program you have been offered, fees payable and the program commencement date. You should receive this within 24 - 48 hours of SAIBT receiving your application.

Pay fees

Step 6

Receive Confirmation of Enrolment to attend SAIBT.
On receipt of payment, your place at SAIBT will be confirmed in writing. You will receive a copy of the electronic Confirmation of Enrolment Form (COE) which must be presented to an Australian Diplomatic Mission.

Step 7

Begin Student Visa Process.
A SAIBT representative or educational agent in your country will assist in applying for your student visa. Click here for a list of SAIBT representatives. Additional information about visa requirements can also be found here.

Please note: If you have school-aged dependents coming with you to Australia they will have to attend school. You must provide evidence of enrolment for them if you wish them to be granted a student visa as a family unit member. You are responsible for their education costs in accordance with the charging policy of the school attended. Options include public (Government) and private (non-Government or religiously-oriented) schools.
